Screenprinted show posters don’t just advertise a show; or rather, that’s just Phase 1 in the life of a show poster. True, before the show they’re a great way to get people excited about coming to see the bands. And during the show, they’re part of the merch, explicitly connecting the band and the venue and a great night. But after the show: that’s when they do the thing that only a real screenprinted show poster can do. A year later, or 5 or 10 years from now, looking at the poster will still bring back the whole night with sudden clarity. The band, the club, the music, the scene, the friends, the temperature of the air that night: St. Louis circa that very evening. Posters are as crucial in their way as the music itself is in creating longevity and legend, here in St. Louis and everywhere else the posters travels. View Poster Portfolio

Here's images from the Rock For Kids 7th Annual Music Mixer Auction. This was Sleepy Kitty's second year involved. We had a great time making our mix, and we're really happy with how it turned out. Our mix is titled Ancient Riddles of the Middle West. Check out photos of the piece here: Ancient Riddles Of The Middle West
